Added lines 19-20:
Will you stand in the greenery in the hills where eagles fly and make doors that shimmer with some unique essence you possess and make them open  your keys of limitless vitality when these will open simultaneously the wind howls from the sea and what is buried is revealed in this place where mystery is abundant and vines grow from the bones and decay to climb to a different state where there are no questions answers or rationalizations for mediocrity here there is simplicity with no burdens to bear or reasons to put up walls which replace the light with darkness Will you stand in the green hills and reveal your dance beneath a sky filled with auroras and orbiting stars creating zodiac signs and dance in circles of stones created by ancient tribes making cycles complete to the rhythm your heart beats making eclipses of synchronicity?

!Welcome to the Wordwood.

If you found your way onto this website, you are very likely a Charles de Lint (aka "CdL") fan. If not click on the "Charles de Who?" link and find out more about him and his books.

If you're unfamiliar with the whole concept of Wiki, you could do a lot worse than to click on this: PmWiki/WikiWikiWeb and find out more for yourself.

In a nutshell, the idea behind this Wordwood Wiki is that you as visitors and fans can edit the pages in this website and help create something similar to Charles de Lint's "Wordwood" website from his Newford novels.

The idea  behind this particular website was born on LiveJournal (LJ) in the CdL fan community. The ingenious Heather ("callwolf" on LJ) had the idea to collate a list of all characters in CdL's Newford books and publish this on the Internet, along the lines of "Six Degrees of Newford", to find out how all the characters relate to each other. Quickly, a new LiveJournal community was born, and eager fans volunteered to make notes of all characters while reading the books.
In December 2004, Thorsten ("cream_t" on LJ, "Librarius" on this website) registered the domain thewordwood.info in order to create a website for the CdL fan community. The idea of a Wiki was there, but no plan for content. In April 2005, it all came together and this project was born.

This website is fully reliant on its users - it will grow with your input and die if you neglect it. There is a slim chance that it will take on a life of it's own, like its namesake thewordwood.com in the novels and stories - who knows? But it is more likely that we will have to fill it with content ourselves, slowly and hopefully steadily over weeks, months and years.

Again, welcome to the Wordwood. We hope you will become part of this project and enjoy helping create a Real Life Fantasy.
